Summer Exhibition - August 2008

The society offers three separate awards at its Summer Exhibition:

Terry Biggs Cup
Donated by the late Alderman Terry Biggs (past President) and awarded for the work judged to be the best in the exhibition

Challenge Trophy
Donated by Marian Rolfe (Life Vice-President) and awarded for the work judged to show most freshness of vision and originality

Equestrian Art Prize
Donated by the late Hon Oliver Beckett FRSA (past Vice-President) and awarded for the work judged to be the best of an equestrian subject

85 of our members participated this year, many of whom were pleased to show more than one work of art. About 540 exhibits were displayed and these covered a very wide variety of subject matter, style, media and artistic approach. Below are some pictorial representations of the event.
